Best of Both Worlds: Paducah boasts a cozy, small-town pace, yet offers the vibrant arts, culture, and activities of a larger city, often described as having the "big city advantage".

Perfect Location: It offers just enough space from my roots while keeping me connected, making it an ideal, accessible home base. It's also close enough to many larger cities like St. Louis, Nashville, Memphis, and Louisville, that a day trip or a short vacation is just a few hours away!

Wonderful Family Support: I am thrilled with the local Head Start program, which has proved to be caring and dedicated to my son's growth.

What I Wished I'd Known: Before moving to Paducah, you must know that Paducah requires an annual city business license and a 2% occupational license fee (payroll tax) for any 1099 independent contractor work, even if performed online from home. This must be done prior to beginning work, even if you are just a remote individual. Simply working for yourself means you are a "business" here.

All in all, though, choosing MakeMyMove to move to Paducah has truly been a wonderful, life-changing decision.
