Amerson River Park
A 166 acre park situated on a bend in the Ocmulgee River. Built on the site of a former water treatment plant, it features ADA-accessible walking trails, sweeping lawns, a kayak launch, and popular river tubing routes.

Ocmulgee Mounds National Historical Park
Located just across the river from downtown, this site preserves over 12,000 years of continuous human habitation by Southeastern Indigenous cultures. It features monumental Mississippian earthworks, including the only restored spiral mound in North America.
