Plainfield is just a stone's throw from Indianapolis, so you get that small-town vibe without being too far removed from the big-city action. The cost of living here is super reasonable compared to Indy itself, with nice homes going for a pretty penny less. And when you're not clocked in working remotely, there's plenty to keep you busy right in Plainfield. The locally-owned restaurant scene is top-notch. Their prime rib is to die for. For something a little trendier, Brew Link Brewing has amazing craft beers and gourmet bar food. As for recreational offerings, you're just a couple of miles from Hummel Park which has a wooden pedestrian bridge, playgrounds, a splash pad, an amphitheater for live music and a sledding hill. The town also has a huge recreation and aquatic center with basketball courts, exercise areas, pools, an indoor play area, community rooms, a media center and fitness trails. There are also a ton of community events happening all year round in the charming downtown area. Now for families, the Plainfield school system is really solid. Both Plainfield High School and the middle/elementary schools get high ratings—lots of AP classes, extracurriculars and strong sports programs.
